Tomorrow Mike Fuss goes in for his second, and most likely his last skin graft. He is having the front of his neck, and a spot on his right hip/side done, and a small spot on his right foot. His spirits have been great the last couple of days. Those of you who had seen him in the early days of this mess, would not believe the difference. He looks and sounds like his old self. Cody Fuss is also doing great. Hes very motivated to get his strength and range of motion back. He said today that he wishes he could have therapy everyday. They tested his grip strength on his bad hand and its still stronger than most men. They also tested his grip strength on his good hand, and it was double that. He is anxious to get back to driving, and when he is strong enough, back to work. He says he wouldnt be able to do it now, because he has to move around tires and other stuff that weigh more than him. If my hunch is correct, it wont take long. He did lose 15 lbs. of muscle while he was here. Those who know Cody knows he didnt have an ounce of fat on him to start with. The doctor explained that the body uses up muscle to heal, so Im sure it will be frustrating for both Mike and Cody, to not be as strong. The good thing is, they can get it back. Thats all for now.
