Tomorrow: STDIGIMFL IS GOING INTERNATIONAL! We are happy to announce that this year we were invited to curate an afternoon for the amazing #LeGuessWho? Festival in Utrecht. Tomorrows event will feature the following artists: MICHAEL CHAPMAN’s voice and guitar playing first became known on the British Folk Circuit in 1967. He has been on the road ever since. Praised by John Peel, Thurston Moore and The No Neck Blues Band, Chapman has recently experienced somewhat of a rebirth landing placements in several Album Of The Year lists. His uniquely English melancholic perspective, his emotive guitar style and his sharp lyrics are those of a real songwriter who’s lived a real life and all that entails. One of the most under-rated heroes of our time! ASHRAF SHARIF KHAN was born in 1969 in Lahore, Pakistan as the son of sitar master Ustad Muhammad Sharif Khan Poonchwala. Since performing publicly for the first time at the age of 11 Khan has graced stages all over the world including the New York Symphony Space and the Cairo Opera House. His virtuoso technique along with the melodic beauty of his style has won him multiple awards. He is currently teaching classical South Asian music at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. A rare chance to hear a true master of his instrument. GLENN JONES is a unique voice working in the decades-long tradition of American Primitivism. A constant member of Bostons’s Cul De Sac, Jones has collaborated with the finest of the genre, from Jack Rose to John Fahey. His sense for story telling, his technical expertise and his expressive playing make him a living giant of the Takoma School. His latest album “My Garden State” (Thrill Jockey) has already been awarded as one of the 25 best releases of 2013 by NPR’s Lars Gotrich. On decks: SIMON WOJAN
