Tomorrow a small group of women from Central Lutheran Church will make (or have bought) part of Thanksgiving dinner for 60 people at Clare house, a women and childrens shelter in Anchorage. Ive got six pumpkin pies, peanut butter bars, reddi whip, three bags of cranberries and a ham in my fridge. One of my brothers is cooking a turkey for me (and carving it too!) Another woman is making stuffing for all of them, delivering it with turkey, rolls and milk someone else contributed. One is making the mashed potatoes and another is doing green bean casserole. Different groups from my church make dinner the fourth Thursday of each month for Clare House-and I have helped coordinate Thanksgiving for the last few years. It is good to give back. Thanks to all of you who who said I could use an oven. I really appreciate it! Luckily I was able to pawn that off on Erik, at his suggestion. :) Happy Thanksgiving!
