Tomorrow an incredibly small number of people go to a local school - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow an incredibly small number of people go to a local school or church to wait in line. They are handed a sticker of a paper flag that announces to everyone where they were. It makes some feel guilty when they see it. They lie to themselves or maybe others too. I am going after work. They say. If they do, they realize after casting the first decision that they are way in over their heads. They mutter to themselves after reading a proposal the third time, geez, I dont know! But choose anyway. Sometimes they choose to send a message, but only when they dont know the other two names. Sometimes they push only one button and select all with the same letter after the name. But less and less I suppose. Less and les ... I hope. When they finally cast the ballot and head to the car, they swear to themselves, next time I am going to read up and study, because this is irresponsible of me and I have to do my part. They start the car exhilarated that they are indeed wearing the paper flag now themselves, and terrified at the thought of how many people went before them today and knew far LESS than they did. As they turn out on to the street, they shake their head - and yet, this still is the best system in the world, imagine that. God bless the Republic. If we can keep it. Goodnight America.
