Tomorrow, gonna breed Broadfoots B731 (black doe) to one of my Vanilla x Ciao sons (Bkn black). Why? B731 is an older doe and is a bit long in the midsection but has a smooth, short, fast finishing coat, a super short shoulder and very nice depth of body. This particular son of Ciao is very very short bodied, tiny, deep, wide and cobby, overall his coat is very thick but he has some stray guards that protrude above the undercoat and give him a bit of a slight harshness. I firmly believe that this will be a SUPER combination with the result being bunnies with his short cobby type, super density and the does finish and it will maintain the short shoulders I demand in my herd as the doe has them too! ;) I think this cross will be fantastic! :) Man I wish I could keep more of the stock I have right now through to spring! :( BUT...it is time to move forward QUICKLY!
