Tomorrow is D-Day. I mean, Book Release Day. I would be pacing the floor, except that it isnt an option for me at the moment. I am being sat on by a very big dog who is firmly convinced that peoples laps are the only truly comfortable beds. So any typos in this post are not my fault, but are attributable to vigorous tail action. But in my mind, Im walking the floor. I always do, before a new novel is released. Always before, Sid has been here to listen to my doubts and fears and apprehensions and tell me all will be well. Not this time. But I keep reminding myself that he listened to every word of the book (in sections, of course) as I wrote it. He helped me plot it. He listened to the revisions...all of them. And he told me it would be a winner. I hope he is right. Throughout our life, my experience is that he was usually right, no matter what the subject. Thats not an exaggeration made through rose-colored glasses, but the unvarnished truth. He was a very smart man. My fingers are crossed. I think some of my toes are crossed. And if they were long enough, my ears would be crossed for luck!
