Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so I thought Id take a moment to discuss a few things I am grateful for... First and foremost, I am grateful that my father is back home with us and continues to do very well. His determination and independence have softened the blow of a devastating set-back. I am grateful for the on-going support and enthusiasm of my wonderful publisher, Gary Svehla. His willingness to back my projects has rekindled my love of writing. I am grateful to my good friend Mike Baronas, who has enabled my current project, SPLINTERED VISIONS: LUCIO FULCI AND HIS FILMS, to develop into a much more comprehensive and interesting project than I originally had intended. Mike is a good friend and has been a tremendous support. I am grateful to old friends and new for providing me with an outlet to vent when the problems of the daily grind get to be too much. This extends not only to real-world people, but also to friends on here who take a moment now and again to talk and to offer words of support when they are needed. You all know who you are. And I am grateful that I continue to do a job that I not only enjoy, but which is helpful to people in need. Some who work in the same field are perpetually miserable and want nothing more than to get out of doing as much work as possible, but I welcome the challenge and hope to continue doing it for the foreseeable future.
