Tomorrow is Veterans Day and I wanted to say... THANK YOU to ALL of the Veterans out there for your service and sacrifice, YOU ROCK! Here is a short letter to read from a solider in WWII. There are plenty of stories and letters, good, bad, happy and sad but this made me smile! Date: November/December 1952 Rank: Private First Class Home: Hackensack, New Jersey Letter Im coming home! Its official as of this morning. ...That little house is going to look like a palace to me. ...Is it true some people eat three times a day, or more? And they sit on a chair, by a table. Whats the matter, cant they dig a hole in the backyard like everybody else? ...There were times I would have traded my soul for a drink of cold water, or a cup of hot coffee. But I am coming home now. Chuck isnt. Hes listed M.I.A. If hes on this side of the line I hope he makes it. If hes on their side I hope hes dead. Hed wish the same for me. ...I am going to tell you now. Youll need a lot of patience with me. Patience, and, understanding. We all will. Resolution When he returned from Korea, Puntasecca was stationed in Lewiston, New York. At a local YMCA dance one night, he met a woman from Niagara Falls. They got married a month before Puntasecca was discharged. He went to work in his fathers construction business, and started a family. He has two children and three grandchildren.
