Tomorrow is my 40th Bday. Funny that when my mom went into labor after slipping on steps as she was rushing to catch a Clint Eastwood movie....I was born a premie, my dad could hold me in one hand, just like a little doll......given a slim chance to make it past a month old. I made it past that. Days before my 1st bday, I lost my dad. 39 years of hoping hes looking down smiling and laughing at/with me. Made it all these years with a demanding, controlling, stage mom who only expected and accepted the most from me. Ive had many ups and downs, lots of love found and lost, tons of oh shit and hey watch this! moments, witnessed many births and cried at many deaths, and I know I have a good 50 more years in me to experience even more. And I plan on knocking on Hells gate when it my time and having the Devil himself deadbolt the door and say oh hell no, youre too much for here.
