Tomorrow is resurrection Sunday! Jesus came to save people from their sins, so he died , he wanted to set people free from the bondage of sin so he spent 3 days getting the keys to death hell and the grave, he said destroy this temple in 3 days I will raise it up. Jesus Christ was resurrected. So indirect response to His actions I acted on Matthew 3:1-11 Mark 1:all John 3:1-8 Luke 24:44-48 and also Acts 2:38. Christs Death = My Repentance Christs Burial = My Baptism (immersion under water) Christs Resurrection = Me Receiving The Baptism Of The Holy Ghost. Romans 6:4 explains how we follow Christ in New Testament Salvation Acts 2:4 was only the beginning it was the birth of the new testament church that Jesus Christ purchased with his own blood. In the old testament the priest was the only one qualified and responsible for making atonement for sins. The only thing that could make the proper atonement was blood. Just as in the old testament the new testament is parallel in process only blood could remit, or blot out our sins. Hebrews 9:22 expounds upon the point that without the shedding of blood there is no remission that word could also translate as forgiveness, Sins were not remitted until his blood hit the ground ! So if sins were not remitted until the blood was applied in the old. So is the same today. The blood was applied in every aspect of the old testament all the way to the hollies of hollies. So is the blood applied at repentance , the blood is also applied at water baptism it is also applied during the process in which God fills someone with His Spirit! Lots of things to be excited about this world is not my home and its time to act more like it !
