Tomorrow is the Autumn Equinox, when the Light and Dark are in - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow is the Autumn Equinox, when the Light and Dark are in equal balance, though the Sun is making its way lower in the sky and the nights begin to get longer. Among the Celts and the early Europeans, this day was known as Mabon, after a figure from Celtic mythology. Mabon was a bard and storyteller and one of the things that was done to entertain the children while the grown ups gathered the harvest was to tell stories and sing songs. After the work was done, the harvest was celebrated with more songs and stories so the character became associated with the festival. This is the second of the Three Harvest Festivals, focusing on fruits and vegetables. This was also always a special Festival for me!
