Tomorrow is the official last day for Berkeley County school children and next Thursday is the last day for Jefferson County School children. We are seeking prayer for the children as they will not be receiving their school breakfast and lunches. We, Kidz Power Pacs, continue the feeding program through the summer. This is one of our favorite times of the year because we get to meet each family personally and get to know them on a higher level! We partner with the One Harvest program to help supply us with food boxes for the children and depending on the size family we also do family boxes as well. We have 10 different distribution sites where our teams will meet the families, give them their food boxes for their children along with material to help feed their souls as well! We cant thank our teams enough for taking time to travel across Berkeley and Jefferson County to help the families. We understand the trouble with transportation so we are happy to go to them to help relieve that stress of getting the food. If it is laid upon your heart to help give towards the extra cost of summer please know it is very much appreciated! Donations of the One Harvest boxes, monetary donations, large boxes of cereal and jars of peanut butter are our focus through the summer. It cost roughly an extra $5 dollars per child due to the generosity of One Harvest helping us with the cost of each box. A true blessing since we are covering all meals for the children compared to just weekends. God is so Good!! Please share if you feel lead. We are still seeking a truck to use just once a month to pick up the food. Dates of the summer program are June 21, July 19 and Aug 16. We distribute a months worth of food to help the families only have to meet us once a month and it helps our volunteers as well enjoy the extra time with their families! Dont forget our June 28th Event in the park coming up and if you would like to set up a booth for your church, your outreach ministry or agency please let us know.
