Tomorrow is your last chance to put in a submission on this proposal. I find it alarming that DOC has been told by the government to withdraw its submission, despite the fact this dam is going to have huge impacts on the waterways in the area. Why are they rushing through a poorly-conceived and economically unworkable project when there are many other alternatives? Proposals like this belong to the Muldoon era of Think Big - we need to think laterally, strategically and sustainably instead. That way we will come up with projects that provide for a viable economy and a healthy environment.
