Tomorrow it will be 100 years to the day that my Great uncle gave his life for our freedom. Not one minute of the day will I not have thoughts of him and the other brave fallen. •There was a soldier, a Scottish soldier Who wandered far away, and soldiered far away There was non bolder, with good broad shoulder Hes fought in many a fray, and fought and won. William McFadyen my great uncle, was killed in action on the 26th August 1914, just 22 days after the start of WW1 which started on the 04 August 1914. I will be thinking of my great uncle every day and posting my thanks to him and the other brave men and women who died to keep us free. William was my dads uncle, my dads name was John McFadyen Cameron 1914.
