Tomorrow marks 6 years since my PhD adviser, Zvi Selinger, passed away. After more than 2 years of heading my own lab, its now clearer than ever what an outstanding mentor was Zvi, and what a remarkable person. I doubt anyone had a more pronounced influence on me since I went into science. Zvi was kind, brilliant, humorous, compassionate, broad-minded and deep-thinking. I keep trying to follow in his footsteps as a mentor and as a scientist, and keep realizing just how hard a act Zvi is to follow. And I still miss him... koslofflab.haifa.ac.il/ZviSelinger.html
