Tomorrow marks the 42nd Anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, which established a woman’s constitutional right to reproductive freedom. Not coincidentally, in the first two weeks of the new legislative session Republicans in Congress have proposed legislation that would severely limit a woman’s access to safe, legal reproductive health care. In the face of these relentless assaults on women’s health, safety and constitutional rights, I am proud to join Reps. Marcia Fudge and Lois Frankel in cosponsoring the Women’s Health Protection Act, which stands for the belief that women, and not politicians, should be trusted to make these often difficult and personal medical decisions. #ActForWomen #7in10forRoe
