Tomorrow morning my mother will be admitted to Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama for two days. During that time, she will be placed in isolation to receive her first, and hopefully, only round of radiation treatment. Moms pathology reports from her last surgery indicated she had more cancer in her remaining thyroid. Her oncologist recommended she have one round of radiation as a preventative measure to kill any remaining cancer cells that may possibly be left behind in her thyroid tissue. Unfortunately, we cannot be with her as she has this treatment , as the amount of radiation she will be receiving will be at a level that is unsafe for others to be around her. We pray that God will heal her body completely of anymore cancer. Sadly, it seems the number of people I know who are affected by cancer either directly or indirectly, just gets higher and higher. I pray that there will come a day where that wont be the case. Please keep my mom in prayer as she undergoes this radiation treatment for the next two days.
