Tomorrow sound like its going to be fun up on Helvellyn Forecast for Saturday A cold and frosty start, with the odd patch of mist and fog in the valleys after dawn. Then a bright day with some winter sunshine, and scattered snow showers. Cloud will begin to increase from the west in the afternoon perhaps making the sunshine hazy. During the late evening some light rain, sleet and snow may reach the far western fells, spreading east across the park around midnight. Visibility Poor in any mist and fog to start, then generally very good or excellent outside of snow showers, with panoramic views of surrounding snow-covered fells. Temporarily falling to poor or very poor in any snow showers. Hill fog Occasional hill fog at 600m likely at times through the day, dropping to 400m in any heavy showers. Wind at 500m Northwesterly 20-30mph with gusts up to 45mph on exposed summits. Increasing to southwesterly 30-40mph with 60mph gusts after dark. Temperatures •Valleys/low level: Minus 3 Celsius at first, rising to plus 5 Celsius in the afternoon. Falling to plus 2 Celsius after dark. •At 900m: Minus 5 Celsius, rising to minus 1 Celsius by the evening. •Freezing level Freezing at all levels at first, rising to 400m in the west and 100m in the east.
