Tomorrow the the parade celebrating the 375th anniversary of the City of Tauntons founding in 1639 will take place. The parade will form at the corner of Hopewell St and Hamilton St., travel up Exeter Street towards Broadway heading south towards the Taunton Green. The parade will continue onto Main Street, turn at City Hall and then turn left at the intersection with Spring Street and Church Green. The parade will end with the annual raising of the Liberty & Union Flag in front of the Old Colony Historical Society. There will be road closures between 11 a.m. and the end of the parade and likely some traffic delays or closures in the area of the Historical Society Building after the parade for short time. The area around Hopewell Park and Exeter Street will experience some delays and closures earlier as the parade forms up. Please allow extra time if you need to get around the parade route. If youd like to observe the parade, wed love to see you. Set up chairs along Broadway, the Green or Main St. taunton-ma.gov/Pages/TauntonMA_Mayor/375parade
