Tomorrow there will be a video conference at the field where ex-Jadavpur University students from across the country and the world will come online to address the students. In other news, heres an anecdote, while I was having a conversation with Sougoto Roy via a media channel, he undauntedly said that Mamata Banerjee has not passed any statement whatsoever about this movement. When I asked him a question about how TMC goons are daring to attack students across colleges in Calcutta to stop them from supporting the movement and where theyre gathering the audacity to threaten students and their parents, he in return asked me: Where did you learn such language. On informing him that the word goon is very much a parliamentary word, and that hes obviously not aware of that, he simply said- I dont want to speak to a young lady about this. On questioning him again as to why he wouldnt SPEAK to a young lady, but would do nothing when she gets beaten up, he hung up. Way to go. Digging graves for themselves every where. ^ All the people who are keeping themselves busy by indulging in moral policing about gheraos and scary mindsets at michhils, please dont reprimand me for this. Its only a figure of speech. As are most slogans. :)
