Tomorrow we have a pony coming in to us that was dumped in a ladys garden near Orpington not far from the rescue We are full to bursting so tried to contact other rescues for help but like us they are all full The lady where the horse was dumped has tried her hardest to find a home for the horse she has contacted the biggest animal charity in the country but was told that the pony wasnt unwell so they couldnt help They advised her to call another horse charity ( that we wont name ) she called them and they came to see the pony they said that they had already found a new home for her without accessing her first! The pony is on her own in a small paddock , scared and only about 18 months old They tried to catch her and she was scared so started playing up They said she might be pregnant , has a huge swelling on her face and is lame, which she isnt They said to the lady that they wouldnt be able to rehome her so advised the lady to have her shot and get her body disposed of The lady called us and told us what they said Since Wednesday we have been working with the pony there is no swelling on her face , shes not lame at all shes just very scared and we even managed to get a headcollar on her and comes and neighs when we call her Tomorrow we have our vet coming out to give her a light sedative so we can move her safely back to SCAR and we will find her a new loving home once she has been fully accessed and vet checked! We feel that no animal should be pts just because they are alone , scared and they need time to learn to trust people before they can move on to there forever home! This little lady deserves a chance as had a bad start in life! Susan & john
