Tomorrow will be one year since Cooper came into our lives. Sammy had only been gone a few days and I had sworn we were not going to foster again for a very long time. Well Cooper was in the Nephi shelter and he needed help. CAWS agreed to pull him. We met Lisa at Thanksgiving Point and picked him up. I began the process of healing his scars and getting him healthy. The shelter was told by the previous owners that he was bit by a rattle snake. Every vet that has seen him tells us it was most definitely a burn that caused his scars (his name was Matchlight before we got him that has always bothered me...) As I began the process of helping the scars heal and getting him happy and healthy we fell in love with him. He was so snuggly and fun, and he never let whatever his past was bother him. He just wanted to be with you and snuggle under a blanket. Craig and I had agreed that we wanted to wait until after Christmas before we started to take him to adoption events. We wanted to give the scar a little more time to heal, well after Christmas came and we started having long talks about what if we couldnt find the right home, or what if they didnt keep a humidifier in the house and coconut oil and sunscreen on his scars...Well the first adoption event came around and Cooper became ours
