Tomorrow will mark almost 14 years that forever changed my life. My plans on Good Friday 14 years ago was to work 1/2 day and go film my brother who was so proud and excited to portray Christ in his confirmations class reenactment of the crucifixion. First year in many that I couldnt make the pilgrimage. Working at zia at the time our supervisor was late so we couldnt ooen the doors to a line of waiting customers. Louise Etuk finally shows up , says sorry im late I had to come through Nambe I guess someone was killed in Chimayo. I turned to Beverly Sandoval who was sitting right next to me and said people suck now this poor family has to spend their Easter holiday burying a loved one. Next thing I hear is Raylyne you have a phone call and in a 5 second conversation my world crumbled. I can remember it as clear as daylight. I miss you brother, instead of portraying Christ you went to be with him in paradise that day...
