Tomorrow’s Sermon Title: Rosh Ha’Shanah Reveals Messiah’s Wedding! Both promise the Bridegroom’s Return for His Bride. Scripture Reading: 2nd Peter 3:2-10 “You must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is this ‘coming’ He promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.’ But they deliberately forget that long ago by the Almighty’s Word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the Same Word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the unrighteous. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With Messiah, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. Messiah is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is (being) patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of Messiah will come like a thief (in the night).” Introduction Headline: Rosh Ha’Shanah has been traditionally taught as the Wedding of Messiah to His Rapture Ready Bride: continued from last week. Introduction Text: Last week we began talking about the 12 step Traditional Jewish Wedding Ceremony from its beginning. We finished at step 5, but we will continue with step 6 today, after this introduction. The Bible Contains 2 Marriage Covenants. In the Old Covenant, Israel is Yahweh’s Bride: in the New Covenant, Messiah’s Bride is His Assemblies of Believers. I mentioned this last week. Elohim’s Word is a marriage covenant. Both the Old and the New Covenant Scriptures describe how Yahweh, through Messiah our Bridegroom, is in the process of preparing Messiah’s bride. Both the Old and New Covenants describe how Messiah, our Bridegroom, is preparing to marry His bride, who contains His followers from all ages, who will live in His home with Him forever. Messiah’s followers are His bride, and corporately become one body in Him. Believers are betrothed to Messiah by faith. This betrothal promise from Messiah’s will be fulfilled at Trumpets. When we put our faith in Messiah for Salvation, and submit to Him as our betrothed husband, we become one with Him, and as the result, we become Messiah’s Present and Future Bride. This is His Promise to all who put their trust in Him: Messiah is going to return for His Bride which contains Jewish and non-Jewish believers who have lived from the beginning of humanity. Yahweh Adonai gave the Jews their wedding customs, services, and ceremonies as types and shadows to teach us about Messiah’s Wedding Ceremony for when He returns for us, His Bride. Rosh Ha’Shanah, called Yom Teruah, is also the Festival of Trumpets, which is a Type and Shadow of the Wedding Procession of Yahweh’s Son and Messianic King: it is His Promised Wedding Day. Trumpets is one of Israel’s most important Festivals that Messiah’s followers get to celebrate: it’s most Holy Day is Yom Kippur, the Day of Yahweh’s Judgement and Reward ends this Festival. The traditional Jewish marriage is seen as a type of Ingathering of Messiah’s Rapture Ready Bride that takes place prior to her Marriage to Messiah in its sequence of Prophetic Events. Prophecy is being fulfilled weekly, daily, moment-by-moment, and at a faster and more intense rate than at any other time in history: especially as we’re preparing for this Festival of Trumpets. The Sequence of Prophetic Events surrounding the Rapture, the Latin word rapturo, translated from the Greek word Harpadzo, meaning “to remove by force” is seen in the Festival of Trumpets. Messiah gave us warnings and signs to watch for prior to His Return as King. Many signs have been, and are being prophetically, fulfilled now that denote the timing of Messiah’s Return. These signs are increasing in intensity and severity as the Tribulation Period approaches, much like the birth pangs, or contractions, of a pregnant woman increase as her of delivery approaches.
