Toms River Officer Pascale Gambardella is investigating a one car accident that occurred Sunday morning. The driver, 20, of Eatontown, was northbound on Bay Avenue when her 1998 dodge left the roadway and overturned. Both the driver and her 27 year old passenger were not injured but fled the vehicle. Officers quickly located them hiding in a wooded area. The driver was charged with DUI , underage DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and other motor vehicle violations, says Chief Michael Mastronardy.
