Tomás is now four and a half years old. He is a beautiful, intelligent boy with a great personality and cognitively bright. However, he has an enormous physical disability. He is quadriplegic which means all four limbs are affected. Therefore, he cannot do any of the simple every day activities we often take for granted. He is unable to sit unaided, feed himself, play independently, access his play environment, turn in bed at night, thus relying on Shane and I to reposition him each night (up to ten times) due to his discomfort. He is very aware of his disability and more aware due to his brother Matthew (3 years old) runs around while his little brother Luke (10 months old) bum shuffles from one end of the room to the other. He responds to this by saying why cant I walk? On hearing these words, Shane and I decided we cannot do this journey on our own and we need your help.
