Toni Kroos is reported to have told friends of his desire to leave Bayern Munich and sign for Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The Germany international is out of contract at the end of next season, and his future remains unclear.Bayern have remained publicly confident that Kroos will stay at the Allianz Arena but, according to The Mirror, the midfielder is ready to pursue a move to Old Trafford given the sizeable £200,000-per-week he could earn.Manchester United are prepared to pay £40 million to secure the acquisition of Kroos, despite his potential availability for nothing in 12 months, given that he is an integral part of the plans David Moyes has outlined to rebuild the club.Kroos is reported to be aware of the high regard he is held in at Manchester United and his potential importance to the club’s future, with the player believing his talentswill be valued more by the Red Devils thanthey will with Bayern Munich.The 24-year-old is reported to have informed those close to him that his preference would to be become first-choice with Manchester United rather than operate as a deputy to Bastian Schweinsteiger,and on less lucrative terms.Such is Kroos’ desire to join Manchester United it would appear he is willing to forgo a place in top level European competition for one season at least, with the club set to miss out on a spot in the Champions League next term. #vF
