Tonight @ 6 pm, The Bailey House Museum will be hosting an opening reception for its new exhibition He Moku Poina Ole, An Island Not Forgotten. The exhibition will be on view through November 3, 2014. Featuring pieces from the Bishop Museums Kahoolawe: Rebirth of a Sacred Hawaiian Island (1996, Honolulu, HI) and Smithsonian Institutions Ke Aloha Kupaa I Ka Aina -- Steadfast Love for the Land (2002, Washington, D.C.) collections, our exhibition was curated under the guidance of Hokulani Holt, will be installed by former Schaefer International Gallery Director Darrell Orwig and is being sponsored by Maui Historical Society/Bailey House Museum, Haleakala Distilleries, UHMCs Institute of Hawaiian Music, and more on the way.
