Tonight City Council voted to move forward with the following. They voted to move forward with an application to apply for a Land and Water Conservation grant for the development of a community park on the corner of 21st street and 2nd avenue. They voted to allocate the funds to construct a pickleball court on the flat piece of land between the pavilion and the parking lot at the city park. They voted to contract with Goff Architects to develop a conceptual plan for renovations to the city hall facade. They voted to move forward with the purchase of the Cruz-Thru building contingent upon a letter from S&S Engineers. They voted to move forward with a lease agreement with Mark McClain for the use of the vacant A-1 building on 20th street. Mark plans to use the building for a youth sports development program. Today I met with Ryan Gaujot about developing a plan to prevent silt from entering Ridenour Lake by remediating the creek beds leading to the lake. Im very excited about the good things happening in Nitro.
