Tonight, I almost let a special statement slip past me while I was talking with my mother. Taking note that my dad passed onto Heaven when I was only 15 years old and now I am in my early 50s. I cherish the times I see and talked to my mother in person or on the phone. I usually talk to her on the phone two or three times a week to see how she is doing or helping her look up something on the internet, so I can save her a trip to her local library. Tonight, In the middle of our conservation she simply said, I enjoy when you call me. Mom is doing great for being in her early 80s and coming through breast cancer surgery in the past few years and since last October....she has had open heart surgery and both eyes operated on. Both doctors gave her a good report. Her heart doctor said, She is good for another 10-12 years. No matter where I talk to her from..India; Scotland; Spain; Brazil; Colombia; Iceland; Netherlands, etc.....or sitting in the living room at home. It is good to hear her voice when she answers the phone. Come to think about it.....I enjoy when I call her too.
