Tonight I bought a rotisserie chicken for $6. It was delicious. Im assuming the grocery store made a small profit on it, which would mean that hatching, raising, feeding, slaughtering, transporting, preparing, cooking, and packaging an entire chicken were all accomplished for a total combined price of under $6. That seems stunningly low. Does anybody have any related economic or agricultural insight? Im curious.
