Tonight I did the invocation at the Tempe City Council meeting. This was what I said. In honor of the upcoming charter amendments, I’d like to quote Harvey Milk, the former council member from San Francisco. He said, It takes no compromise to give people their rights. It takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no political deal to give people freedom. It takes no survey to remove repression. Amen.
