Tonight I experienced divine intervention from God. It was the most bizarre thing thats probably ever happened to me. Leaving work especially late this evening, I remembered I had to go pick my camera up from my MSGs home in Falls Church because I left it on base yesterday. (I never leave my camera) As I got to my car from the train I saw how terrible traffic would be for me going back home from VA so I made up my mind Id cut through DC. After I pick up my camera I head to DC . On the way I pass several different ways to get home but... I didnt take them. Something kept me on my path. As I drive down constitution Ave I get to 16th street and something told me to pull over. And of course Im a Aries and said no but I found myself pulling over anyway to a parking space conveniently open for me right in front of the Monument. I get out with my camera, walk around ..take some pictures ...and I began to hear music. I look across the street to see a tent in the field in front of the White House. So I walk over and go inside to find an amazing praise and worship experience going on with about 7 people in the crowd and... I found some real-estate and began to praise with them. Before I knew it tears were streaming as I cried out to God. I fell to my knees in awe of his presence . I began to pray over my country , over my people, my president and my calling. A shift like no other happened in that tent tonight. Before I knew it... That 7 people turned to about 60. An ENTIRE guided tour group visiting from Texas made up of mostly teenagers heard the music from the street and came to worship as well. I just wept. It was the most beautiful experience Ive had to date and I now know... There is no place on this earth better then where the presence of The Lord is. The name of this worship experience is Davids Tent. Its 24 hour worship for 50 (FIFTY!) days!!! Right on the lawn in between the monument and the White House. What I learned tonight is sometimes God allows things to happen to show us something. All my mistakes , wrong turns and detours led me RIGHT to where I was suppose to be tonight. Also If we would just DO what God has called us to do ... we would see the change in this world we so long to see. God will bring the people. We (the body) just need to provide the place of praise and stop complicating God. God... You are crazy! Love you. #davidstent #onenation #underGod #50daysofpraise
