Tonight I got to be with my hero, my son TJ. Many people know I have a very strong paralyzing fear of heights. And it has only gotten worse over the years as I get older. It is something I can live with since I usually dont go in high places. However TJ loves going down the water slide at the public pool. Long story short he said those words to me tonight, Daddy, lets go down the water slide. I couldnt say no. And if you do not have a fear of heights, you have NO idea how difficult it is to overcome. But he promised to stay with me and help me. And he did! Along with the encouragement and aid of others from our church (especially Michael Conley!) we got through it! Coming down wasnt the problem, it was the going up! And when I got to the bottom there was my church family cheering and celibate with me. Thank you all, because it ment the world to me to do this for my son! He hugged me tight tonight before bed and said, I am proud of you Daddy! And I would never want anyone else as my daddy! Good times! I love my little hero!
