Tonight I had the honour of bringing another brother in to our fold. In 2005 a young fighter at Sityodtong caught the eye of Soke Bob Jones, Billy Manne and myself. For the next 8 years we kept up with his progress with our regular tours and training trips to Sityodtong. In early 2011 Tum came to Australia to work with us at SMAC and Energym and fight on some of Victorias biggest shows. Over this time Kru Tum has shown the tenements of the Bushido code in all aspects of his life. In discussions with him over the years he has shown an understanding of the importance of our brotherhood and has always shown the utmost respect to Soke Bob & Kyoshi Billy Manne. Recently Soke Richard also met Kru Tum and requested footage of his fight as he saw something very special in his skill. Tum has also worked very hard to learn the BJMA syllabus of Muay Thai and has now graded a number of BJMA Muay Thai students. Tum returns to Thailand tomorrow and will be back in Australia in February. I think anyone who has trained with Tum will back this decision. To me at has been a very important step and makes me extremely proud that someone so highly skilled and respected also wants to be apart of our family. Hoorah hoorah hoorah!
