Tonight I had the opportunity to witness the gracious kindness of people. Three ladies coming off the flight from Houston stayed to watch my sons reaction to his homecoming. They thanked Michael with tears in their eyes. One man came up and thanked him for his service. Another lady coming off the flight thanked Us for raising a son who would serve his country. A man sitting in seat who was a vet had tears in his eyes. The first thing my son told me and Valerie getting into the car was that his time in Afghanistan taught him how blessed we are as a nation. Tonight, I stood in an airport and I watched what makes our country great - People who are grateful for those who serve for our freedom! Above all the the partisan politics I got to witness - Love! And a son who is a soldier- has come home!
