Tonight I received a bit of bittersweet news. I received a letter and e-mail from the International Olympic Committee letting me know that my Silver medal for the individual shooting event will be upgraded to the Gold medal following the positive results of the drug test for performance enhancing steroids by members of the Cuban delegation. This gives the Silver medal to Rajmond Debevec of Slovakia and the Bronze medal to my teammate Matthew Emmons (USA). Despite feeling joy I pray for the Cuban delegation as they will face harsh treatment by the Cuban Regime. My prayers are with them and their families. I hope the IOC presses the Cuban government to leave this athletes in peace rather than face suspension for the upcoming Rio 2016 Summer Games.
