Tonight I stopped and got Chinese take out for dinner. Really good meal and Mom, Dad and I enjoyed it. One of the things this restaurant dose is a unique origami fold to keep the paper bags holding the cookies, noodles and extras closed. Its pretty and functional at the same time. The artist in my Mom was quite taken with this and she proceeded to figure out how this was done by refolding the empty bags this way and that until she herself had mastered it. And so when I was leaving later to come home as we were going though the laundry room, she proudly shows me a wad of dryer lint that she had sculpted into a small fuzzy kitten. I couldnt help myself I stated laughing so hard, remarking I really need to get her out more...she just smiled and said she has always liked looking at something more than one way, which is very true. and before I could stop myself, I remarked so I guess its Senior arts and craft class at the Halls bring your dryer lint and....old bags along. We looked at each other and started laughing until tears ran down are faces. Old bags and dryer lint... thanks mom for more that one way to look at life.
