Tonight, I will be singing in the choir for a performance of Mozarts Requiem Mass. This is my second favourite Requiem ever (only surpassed by Benjamin Brittens War Requiem). Its a gorgeous and powerful piece, and well be performing it with a full orchestra and about 175 singers, It will be huge. Im nervous as hell that Ill mess it up for everyone, but no matter how it turns out, the creation of something in a community, and the fulfillment of a lifetime dream, will likely leave me breathless. Just please, please, please, dont let me be the one that sings an entrance a full measure early in the wrong key.
