Tonight I will be speaking at the Iowa Democratic Partys 2013 Jefferson Jackson Dinner. This is a great honor for me, and Im thrilled to visit Iowa once more -- it is truly Americas heartland. My speech tonight will highlight the rise of the tea party and the Democratic agenda the middle class needs to beat it back. Right now theres a lot of anger and angst among the middle class, and there are two ways to tap into that. The tea party has chosen the path of division and negativity to government, but there is another way. Democrats need to choose the path that allows middle-class incomes to grow and that creates new and better jobs. Im going to talk about just how important that is to the middle class and what steps we need to take to make it happen.
