Tonight: Local Show & Dinner with 3 APX Guys Three ApologetiX members will be performing at J. Jacksons home church near Pittsburgh tonight at a special concert featuring the churchs acclaimed worship team. There will also be a pre-concert tailgate barbecue dinner. Well be debuting three yet-to-be-released ApologetiX parodies there, with J., Tom Milnes and Jimmy Vegas Tanner along with the churchs worship team (soloists, choir, and band) and a full brass section. Sunday, September 14, at 7 p.m. New Community Church 3100 Wexford Road Wexford, PA 15090 Its also your chance to see Elaine Heitzer perform our recent song Youre So Plain live for the first time, with people who played and sang on the original track. J.s daughter Janna will be singing background vocals, as she did on the recording. If you enjoyed Keely Singers work on our songs These Streams and Gimme Helper, shell also be featured at this concert. The churchs music director, Greg Macaluso, was Wayne Newtons music director in Las Vegas and Branson for many years. He played on Youre So Plain and will be playing keyboards throughout the entire concert. Tickets for the concert are available at the door. The cost is $10 per person ages 13 and up. Ages 12 and under are free. Proceeds of the concert will be used toward purchasing new sound equipment for the churchs worship center. The pre-concert barbecue dinner is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. if you wish to come early and eat. The chefs are a group of local men who compete in barbecue cook-offs, and their award-winning ribs and sauces will make your mouth water. Cost for dinner is $5/person for age 6 and up. Children 5 and under are free. The maximum cost for dinner per family is $20.
