Tonight (Oct 3rd) I will be present and showing my support for this Film Series #Deported (7pm) Ayiti Images is a new traveling Florida Film Series that will be showcasing the Haitian experience on screen. These unique films will be touring communities all over Florida. In partnership with The Green Family Foundation, The Latin American and Caribbean Center at FIU and the Cinema and Interactive Media Department at the University of Miami, Ayiti Images will be screening 4 films through out the 2014-2015 season. Collaborating with Haitian Student Associations, community organizations and cultural institutions, the film screenings will take place throughout the Florida area to expose residents to a diverse conversation about Haiti. All the films screened will also be produced and directed by Haitian or Haitian American directors, which also promotes an authentic voice that is seldom heard from its own perspective. Launching the series is a documentary film entitled Deported, directed by Rachele Magloire and Chantal Regnault.
