Tonight Rodney Pond and I will be celebrating 22 years together. At some point in the last year I think I got confused how long wed been together, just as I get confused as to how old I am about four months before my birthday. But it is 22 years. We are a little broke right now because of a series of unfortunate events (and then I walked out to my vehicle this afternoon and found a parking ticket because we just cant go an hour without some new way to toss our money around) so we are going to celebrate by having a little picnic. Get a little bread and cheese and olives and go to a park and enjoy the company. I love him so much Ive married him twice. In our latest wedding vows I spoke about how art and music and food and critters and nature and our family have been such a huge part of our life - all the spices and flavors and sounds and smells and colors and love and affection. And I said that there were times when I didnt even want to have dinner with him, but I always, always know that he is the person I want to grow old with. And I truly feel that way. I hope in fifty or sixty years we can grow old together. He is my best friend. I love you, Monk. Looking forward to year 23.
