Tonight Turkish Parliament held a midnight session voting to abolish powers of TMMOB (Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects) over any city planning, landscaping and construction issues. As imagined ruling party AKP voted in favor, for its own proposal. TMMOB has been one of the major bodies opposing Gezi Park’s demolition.
