Tonight War Horse is taking part in #LightsOut at New London Theatre and The Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays to mark the centenary of the beginning of the First World War. Here are some words from Michael Morpurgo: Tonight I shall be with the cast of War Horse in London, with the wonderful song maker John Tams. I am conscious of the fact that for the most part everyone who works and has worked so hard on War Horse, wherever it plays, is young. Many are the same age as those who marched away in The First World War. So many did not come home, so many were wounded terribly in body and mind. So many of those who were left at home grieved all their lives. Every night these young people, cast and crew, play out, sing out, this anthem to peace. They have been doing it all over the world for seven years to over 5 million people, who do not forget it. And neither do I. Find out more about #LightsOut here:
