Tonight, a subject named Donald London, 42yrs old, called the Brule County Sheriffs Office, threatening to kill Law Enforcement Officers. London and a second individual, then barricaded themselves inside his home at 24732 360th Avenue in Kimball and awaited. As Law Enforcement closed in on the home, gunshots were sprayed from inside the home, striking down an Officer. That Officer was quickly retrieved and rushed to a hospital where he remains in critical condition. Name withheld. The second barricaded suspect surrendered to Police about 8pm and has left the home, leaving London inside. As of late this evening, London remains barricaded inside his home, still firing round upon round at surrounding Officers. A command center has been established near the home at this time. Agencies on scene, include the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Brule County Sheriffs Office, Lyman County Sheriffs Office, Jerauld County Sheriffs Office, Mitchell Police Department, Chamberlain Police Department, South Dakota Game Fish and Parks., and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
