Tonight, a very small and private vigil was held at Safe Haven - TopicsExpress

Tonight, a very small and private vigil was held at Safe Haven with and for the original founder, Mary Anne Fleetwood, to honor her vision and dream and to also mourn the passing of the 19 dogs killed along with her dream. The small group of ten held a reading and lit candles to memorialize the many animals who lived and died at Safe Haven. Ironically, following the vigil and while sharing memories, mourners were surprised to see headlights coming down the lane; three SUVs leaving the facility. The vehicles stopped and a brief time later, state police were once again on the scene. Apparently, a week after the murder of the 19 dogs, Lynn Lofthouse decided it would be a good time to revisit the location where the 19 unnecessary deaths took place. We can only speculate as to the reason for their return, but police advised Lofthouse has received death threats and that is why they were, once again, called.
