Tonight as I sit here reading Face Book and do my home work (yes...I CAN multi-task), I got to thinking about what I have accomplished in my life. I have worked almost all my life....I remember sacking groceries at Gearys store when I was in school. I went to college for a while right outta high school and my Dad convinced me that going to work was the best bet. I did it....went to work in the coal mines and worked there almost 12 years. I survived that job and never really got hurt. Joined the military about the time I got laid off from that job. I worked in Atlanta for AAA Cooper Transport on the freight dock (hardest work Ive ever done) till I went to Basic Training in Ft Leonard Wood Mo. AAA Cooper laid me off before I left. Came home and got a job at Southern Appalachian Explosives. Ended up working in the explosive industry for over 26 years....worked for 3 different companies and was manager at 2 of those. Then went to work for Vulcan Materials working in an underground limestone mine. Got laid off there in 2009. Did some odd jobs till I ended up where Im at now. Almost everything I have done in my life for a job had the potential to kill me. It seems I was drawn to anything and everything that could hurt or kill me. Even my hobbies were life-threatening....motorcycle racing, did it for years. The military, been in 3 wars....never got a scratch. I am still alive despite my efforts to end it. I guess God had a plan for me all along. Apparently my life was important to somebody. I thank God that he never left my side and kept His angels there to protect me. I am positive that HE protected and guided me even through the times that I denied Him. I feel that there is someone , somewhere on this planet that is waiting for me to witness to him/her. I have a purpose......and that purpose will be revealed to me. God has a plan.
