Biography: The Colorado based Spiritwell, otherwise known as Austin Richman, could be described as Rock/Electronica/Indie/post-Americana/Ambient, but really he is just a singer-songwriter playing original, heartfelt, diverse music. Austin Richman is a singer, guitarist and producer whose use of improvisation plays the central role in the way much of the music is performed, created, and transformed. Spiritwell is what happens when the two worlds of acoustic and electronic music collide. This project translates the use of voice, guitar, and computer-generated accompaniment and production into music that varies from ethereal ambiance, to spontaneous dance parties, to foot stomping sing-a-longs. The honest words, heartfelt melodies, seductive basslines, and primal beats are composed with the intention to uplift and are rarely performed the same way twice.
