Tonight at soccer practice, the book I was holding was called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I highly recommend it. My mother gave it to me during my deepest, darkest time. At soccer practice we bantered about the title a bit, suggesting that Jesus might hang up if we called or that hes an imaginary friend. Indeed there is no scientific proof whether conversation with Jesus is real or the work of an overactive imagination. For all I know I may be completely Looney Tunes. Each person must find their own way in this world. But for me its comforting to believe that there is someone in my corner no matter what the circumstance, willing to forgive and love me no matter what my shortcoming. Because my imaginary friend does so for me, I work hard to extend the same love and forgiveness to others. The power of love, regardless of religion, has impact beyond words....
